Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year, if not my favourite. I adore all of the gorgeous warm colours: burnt orange, blackcurrant purple and the shimmering gold shades. These colour combinations create a divine Autumnal wedding theme, but what about your make-up? Put down your hot pink lipstick and coral blusher – today is all about Autumn bridal make-up. We’re going to be focusing on four key looks that are perfect for this season.

The first look is inspired by all things outdoors. Imagine the crispy orange leaves and warm earthy shades throughout the season – this works beautifully as wedding make-up. Start with dark brown eyeshadow on the outer corner of your eyelids, blending with dusty orange or bronze eyeshadow as you reach the inner corner. The combination of colours will make your eyes stand out, all while reflecting the season perfectly. Opt for a nude lipstick and a few lashings of mascara. Your eyes will do the talking with this look! Nude nail polish is all you need to complete your aisle style. This make-up works beautifully if you’re wearing an Autumn flower crown or a golden hair vine. It’s natural with a subtle touch of glamour.
Statement lips have been on trend for a few years now, but this year it’s all about blackcurrant and berry shades of lipstick. Rich purple and raspberry red are gorgeous shades to use in Autumn and they’re an alternative take on the traditional colours of the season. Keep your eye make-up relatively simple with this look. Match your nail polish colour to the exact shade of lipstick you use.

Raise your hand if you want to sparkle on your wedding day…? Then listen up ladies! Metallic shades are huge news this year in the world of weddings, and that doesn’t stop at bridal make-up. Opt for gold, bronze and rose gold accents – perfect for Autumn! All you need is a light dusting of shimmering eyeshadow across your lids in your favourite metallic shade. Use highlighter to add a subtle glow to your face, in areas that would catch the light naturally. We recommend dotting highlighter along your cheekbones and brow-bone. And for your nails? Rose gold is the perfect finishing touch, and it’s guaranteed to make your wedding rings stand out.
Let’s move onto natural bridal make-up. Understated make-up works wonderfully in any season, but I think Autumnal colours create a subtle nude look that is so stunning. Dusty red lipstick in matte will give you gorgeous rosebud lips, while fluttering long eyelashes will make your eyes stand out. Use a pretty pink blusher that matches your natural blush, and you’ll effortlessly achieve a dewy base and rosy cheeks. This make-up style is flattering on any bride.
