Is it safe to order online?

Don’t worry – it’s safe! We are proud to use the world renowned Sage Pay Payment Service Provider (formerly Protx) who use latest government approved firewalls.

In addition, we are a retailer who participates in Verified by Visa & MasterCard SecureCode. To give you even more confidence shopping on the internet, Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode is a relatively new service that protects your card details with a personal password, much like Chip and Pin.

When will my credit card be charged?

If the payment is authorised, your card will be immediately debited and you will receive a order confirmation e-mail from us.

If payment is authorised but there is a query with your order, we will contact you by telephone or email within 1 working day to resolve the issue. If, for any reason, we are unable to resolve the query and therefore unable to dispatch your order, we will issue a full refund back to your card and you will receive a Refund Confirmation email from us.

If the payment is not authorised, your card will not be charged and you may wish to contact your card issuer for further information. *Please note: some issuing banks may reserve your funds for a period of time even if payment has not been authorised.

I have a promo code / gift voucher, where do I redeem it?

Once you’ve added your sparkles to your bag, choose VIEW BAG from the cart in the top right of your screen to view your basket. You can apply your code here by entering your code in the PROMO CODE or GIFT CARD CODE field and clicking + to apply. Then you’re ready to checkout!

Will I need to sign for my order?

Most orders will require a signature upon receipt. If nobody is present at the delivery address, Royal Mail will leave a card so that you can re-arrange a delivery or collect your order in person.

Please remember that we are also able to deliver to an alternative address i.e. work address should this be more convenient (UK orders only).

Can I have my order delivered to an alternative address such as my work address?

Yes, you can choose to have your order sent to an alternative address providing the delivery address is in the UK.

Unfortunately, for all orders placed outside the UK, we are only able to deliver to the billing address of the credit card holder for our customers security.

What happens if I am not in when my parcel is delivered?

If you are not home when delivery is attempted, Royal Mail will leave a card for you to arrange for the item to be re-delivered or you can collect from your local sorting office.

Please note: if you order is not collected from the Post Office or do you not arrange redelivery and, subsequently your order is returned to Glitzy Secrets by Royal Mail, a refund will be issued for the item/s purchased within 7 working days of receipt.

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 14 day returns policy. We will accept and issue a refund for the cost of any unsuitable item/s providing they are returned in original condition and packaging with security tag and/or security hygiene seals intact.

If an item is unsuitable, please follow the process outlined below:

  • Complete the returns slip on the reverse of the delivery note enclosed with your order.
  • Place the completed Returns Slip in the package along with the item/s you wish to return.
  • Return your goods within 14 days of delivery, in original condition and packaging with security tags intact to:

You will be responsible for returning the unsuitable goods to us within 14 days of receipt at your cost. If you have paid a UK standard delivery charge, this will be refunded if you are cancelling the contract for your complete order. Extra services such as Express Delivery or gift wrapping requested by you form part of a separate contract and are non-refundable once your order has been dispatched. This does not apply to items found to be faulty as outlined under Faulty Goods.

Since Glitzy Secrets Ltd cannot be held responsible for goods until they arrive at our premises and unsuitable items are returned to us at your cost, the above services will insure you for the value of your goods and will also allow you to track your order via http://www.royalmail.com.

A full refund for the price paid for the goods will be issued to the original card holder within 7 working days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email to advise you that your refund has been issued. Please note that where Next Working Day Delivery has been selected, postage charges will not be reimbursed.

Any item returned outside of our 14 day return period, but received within 30 days of delivery, may be subject to credit at the discretion of Glitzy Secret providing goods are in original condition, packaging and with security tags intact. Credit notes should be redeemed within 1 year.

I wish to cancel my order. What should I do?

If you are a consumer contracting with us online or by telephone and would like to cancel the contract for your order, you can do so at any time up to 7 working days after the day of receipt of goods. You must inform us of your request to cancel your contract in writing. Your written cancellation request can be sent to Glitzy Secrets Ltd, Office 4, The Old Stable Yard, Wood Street, Swanley Village, Kent, BR8 7PA or emailed to info@glitzysecrets.com.

If your order has already been dispatched, you will be responsible for returning the goods to us promptly from your notification at your cost. If you fail to return the goods to us, we reserve the right to arrange for the goods to be collected by courier at your cost. If you have paid a standard delivery charge, this will be refunded if you are cancelling the contract for your complete order only. Extra services such as Express Delivery or gift wrapping requested by you form part of a separate contract and are non-refundable once your order has been dispatched.

The regulations do not apply to some items or additional services and full details of your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations are available from Consumer Direct, your local Citizen’s Advice Bureau or Trading Standards.

I received an item which is faulty. What should I do?

As every item is thoroughly inspected by our manufacturer and again by our Quality Control Team prior to despatch, this instance is very rare.

We take any item reported as faulty very seriously and the item may undergo a formal investigation to determine the cause of the fault as Glitzy Secrets prides itself on quality.

If you have received a faulty item, please follow the process below. We will issue a full refund (incl. Postage costs), exchange (if available) or credit note once the item has been deemed as faulty by Glitzy Secrets.

Step 1: Email returns@glitzysecrets.com to inform us of the fault as soon as possible and within 30 days of receipt. Please include your original order reference, your name and billing address as well as an explanation of the fault discovered. We will send a Return Acknowledgement email with your Returns Authorisation Number and the postage method you should use to return the faulty goods.

Step 2: On receipt of your Returns Authorisation Number (RAN), write your Returns Number on the returns slip on the reverse of the delivery note enclosed with your order. If you do not have your delivery note, either print our email or enclose your RAN and name, billing address and telephone number.

Step 3: Place the completed Returns Slip in the package along with the item/s* you wish to return.

Step 4: Return your goods within 7 days of receipt of your RAN by the postal method stated in your Return Acknowledgement email to:

In the event that your item becomes faulty after 30 days of receipt but within a reasonable time frame, please contact us regarding a repair.

Can you confirm you have received my return?

You will receive a Refund Confirmation email notifying you of your refund within 7 working days of us receiving the returned goods.

Please be aware that, depending on the postal service you have returned the goods by, it can take up to 7 days for us to receive your return.

In the unlikely event that you have not received a Refund Confirmation email within 14 days of posting your return to us, please contact Customer Services with your order number, name, billing address and any Recorded or Special Delivery tracking number.

If you would like confirmation that your return has been delivered, we recommend that you return goods by Royal Mails Recorded Signed For or Special Delivery as you can trace your parcel at www.royalmail.com.

When will my card be refunded?

Your card will be refunded within 7 working days of us receiving your return and you will receive a notification email to confirm the refund. 

Please note: depending upon the banks and your card issuer, it can take several additional working days for the refund to appear in your account. 

Will you confirm when my credit card has been refunded?

Absolutely! You will receive an email confirming the refund within 7 working days of us receiving your return.

Can I Exchange An Item?

If an item* you have ordered is unsuitable and you wish to order a different item, you will need to place a new order online. Simply return the unsuitable item to us in accordance to our 14 Day Goodwill Policy and we will issue a refund within 7 working days of receipt.

I'd like to buy something from Glitzy Secrets for a gift. Do you have gift boxes available?

No need! Every item is wrapped in black tissue paper and individually packaged in a beautiful branded blush pink and black gift box – just perfect to give as a gift (and even better to receive!).

I’m buying several items as gifts for different people. Do I need to purchase additional gift boxes?

Absolutely not! Every item is individually wrapped in black tissue and presented in its own blush pink and black gift box so you don’t need to purchase any additional gift boxes. It’s the little luxurious touches that make shopping with Glitzy Secrets that extra bit special. 

Can you include a message to the giftee with my order?

Of course! Simply complete your message in the Gift Message box at checkout and your message will appear on the Gift Invoice enclosed with your order. 

The Gift Invoice also excludes prices so that the recipient can exchange any unsuitable item within 30 days*.

*Excluding pierced earrings and jewellery sets containing pierced earrings for reasons of Health & Hygiene.  

I’m buying something for a gift. What happens if they don’t like it?

We are happy to exchange or issue a credit note for items* which have been purchased a gift and are not suitable providing they are returned with a gift receipt and within 30 days of receipt of the goods. If you are purchasing an item as a gift, please remember to check the box which states that you would like a gift invoice which excludes prices.

*Please note that we cannot accept the return of pierced earrings or jewellery sets which contain pierced earrings for health & hygiene reasons.

I’ve received a gift from Glitzy Secrets which isn’t suitable. Can a have a refund?

Unfortunately, in the interest of the person who purchased the gift, we are can only issue a refund to the original card holder for security reasons. We are, of course, happy to exchange or issue a credit note for items* which are not suitable providing they are returned with a Gift Invoice and within 30 days of the date shown on the Gift Invoice.

*Please note that we cannot accept the return of pierced earrings or jewellery sets which contain pierced earrings for health & hygiene reasons.

An item I’d like to purchase is out of stock. When will it be back in stock?

If an item is out of stock, please click here to email us and we will respond to your email within 48 hours to let you know when it will be available. Please ensure the email title includes the name of the product which you are enquiring about. 

Which type of crystals are used in Glitzy Secrets jewels?

Glitzy Secrets costume jewellery and hair accessories are adorned with the finest Austian, Czech and Swarovski crystals for the most impressive sparkle. 

Can you make a bespoke design for me?

We do not offer a bespoke service on an individual basis at present.

How do I know if an item I wish to order is in stock?

If you can add the bag, it’s in stock! Any out of stock item will say Sold Out. 

Do you have a brochure or catalogue you can send me?

As Glitzy Secrets collection is continually updated with new designs, we do not offer printed catalogues. Our full collection can be seen online.

How Should I Care For My Jewels?

Glitzy Secrets collection can be enjoyed for years, providing pieces are cared for. This means items should not be handled roughly and should be stored in the gift boxes we provide or equivalent. To maintain the sparkle of the crystals and colour of plating, items should not come into contact with water, perfume, detergents or cosmetics such as body lotion or hairspray. To clean your jewels, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth.

I have a nickel allergy. Can I wear your jewellery?

All retailers in the UK & Europe should comply with the EU Nickel Directive which restricts the use of nickel to extremely low & safe levels to avoid a reaction. We can confirm that Glitzy Secrets does everything in it power to comply with this regulation with regular certified testing.

Whilst we have never received a single report of our products causing a reaction, we should point out that it is impossible to determine whether an individual’s allergy is indeed to nickel or whether it is, in fact, to another type of metal without thorough allergy testing.

Do you have a shop?

Do you sell wholesale?

We have recently introduced a Stockist Scheme which enables selected retailers to buy and sell the Glitzy Secrets brand. If you are interested in becoming an authorised stockist of Glitzy Secrets, please click here to apply: Trade Account Application.

*Please note that we only sell under the Glitzy Secrets brand name and will only consider retailers with physical premises. At present, we do not permit any other online store to re-sell the Glitzy Secrets brand unless by special arrangement. 

I have a discount /coupon code. How do I use it?

Simply enter the code in the Voucher/Coupon box at checkout and click on the Redeem button. The discount will then be added to your order.  

I have a discount code but forgot to enter it at checkout. Can you apply the discount?

Unfortunately, we are unable to apply a discount to orders once they have been placed.  

My discount code won't work?

Firstly, please check to see if one of the following reasons apply to you:

  • Ensure you are entering a valid code which has not expired as most offers run for a limited period.
  • Is your code applicable to the items you are ordering? Some codes will not be valid on items of sale, offer or Gift Vouchers.
  • Obvious, we know, but are you entering the correct code? Mistakes do happen!
