Elegant Peach & Gold Wedding Inspiration

February 03, 2017

This is one of those features where I feel it’s only fair that I admit here and now that I’ve completely fallen for this colour scheme. Oh yes, dear readers, this elegant peach and gold wedding theme has totally stolen my heart. I love the soft peach tones and the glinting glistening gold. This really is a wedding colour palette that would work at any time of year so, without further ado, let’s take a look at some heavenly peach and gold wedding inspiration…

So, why do I love this colour combination so much? Well, peach is such a fresh colour and it works perfectly with gold to create a really grown-up look that manages to be sophisticated, feminine and sparkly all in one! You can alter the proportions of colours to suit your wedding so for example, more gold might work well in autumn and winter while peach should take the lead in spring and summer. That said, there are no rules so go for whatever suits you best!

When it comes to your bridal ensemble, there’s so much that can be done to include elements of your colour palette. How about a skinny gold belt for a modern look and golden shoes or glittery heels? Bridesmaids can absolutely rock peach gowns (in any length and style) and, of course, peach and gold toned jewellery is a real must-have. I love Glitzy Secrets’ peach bridal earrings (and coordinating necklace – perfect for brides and maids!) and the Peach Passion hair comb will hold your veil or bridal up-do in place all day long.

Now I totally understand that your groom might not want to wear a peach suit but for summer, a light coloured suit with a peach shirt or tie would be brilliant. A darker suit in winter will work equally well with golden cufflinks and a peach coloured buttonhole.

You’re totally spoiled for choice when it comes to peachy florals for your decorations. David Austin Juliet roses have to be top of my list with Ranunculus a close second. These blooms and their delicate, tightly packed petals are romantic, pretty and downright gorgeous. You can also use peach Carnations as a cost effective filler or peach Hypericum berries to add texture. If they’re in season, peach Stocks will fill your wedding with a summery scent and will bring a gorgeous country garden feel to your day.

To bring some gold into your decorations, you can talk to your florist about using golden urns or other containers. If you’d like to include candles on your table, gold metal lanterns are absolutely perfect as are metallic candelabras or large hanging light installations. Add some more on-theme touches to your tables with golden cutlery, peach glassware or crockery edged in gold.

It would be awful of me not to include a touch or two of pure luxury in this feature and gold leaf and edible gold absolutely has to make an appearance here! Why not serve your guests a signature peach-based cocktail decorated with edible gold flakes or order a showstopper of a cake that includes golden gilding?  Gold is just so indulgent and eye-catching - your guests will really appreciate these fabulous little details.

Of course, florals aren’t your only decorative friend when it comes to styling your wedding and if you’re looking for some wedding DIY projects then perhaps some of these ideas might catch your eye. How about a big ceremony or top table backdrop made from long strips of peach crepe paper or ribbon? Or, search online for a tutorial that shows you how to make tissue paper tassel garlands or pom poms.

You could also get creative with your seating plans using peach cards with guests’ names strung from golden ribbon or even little flags stuck into ripe peaches for place markers. It’s also super easy to create your own confetti to work with your theme – all you need is a circular punch and coloured paper or tissue. Table runners are another easy make – just measure the length of your tables, add a generous amount for drop on either end (usually twice the height of table) and then buy metres of delicate peach chiffon. These ethereal runners are absolutely stunning when they’re in place and are just so beautiful - ideal for this elegant wedding look.

I’m sure that you’ll see now why I’ve fallen for this theme – it is, without a doubt, Peach Perfection!
