Die-hard Downton fans spotted our Deco Extravagance Tiara and Vintage Wreath Tiara in the third series of the hit drama series. How thrilled we are to be able to confirm, our tiaras and hair accessories have featured in the multi award-winning global sensation written by Julian Fellowes.
The third series commenced with Lady Mary trying to come to terms with her husband Matthew’s shocking death from a car accident, as well as rebuilding a life for her and her new son George. In the midst of the 1920s, which was a fabulous and iconic era for fashion, we saw hemlines rise and accessories becoming bolder. Lady Mary looked stunning in our Vintage Wreath Tiara complementing a heavily beaded black dress. Our Deco Extravagance Tiara also featured in the series and was elegantly worn in statement 1920s forehead style by visiting Opera Singer Nellie Melba played by Dame Kiri te Kanawa.
With the 1920s influencing dramatic changes in women’s fashion, it is wonderful to see how this fabulous series embraced the post-war decade with decadent costumes and statement accessories.
