When it comes to colour schemes for an Easter wedding, we think a pretty pastel palette is the perfect choice. From bridesmaid dresses to beautiful blooms, there are lots of lovely ways to add a pastel touch to your special day. You could decorate your wedding venue with pastel ribbon garlands or balloons in various hues of blush pink, baby blue, mint green and soft lilac. They also make fab chair covers if you want something a little different.

When it comes to your wedding tables, Easter-inspired centrepieces are a must-have. Mason or jam jars tied with hessian ribbon are a wonderful option for those who want to add a rustic feel to their Easter celebration. Fill them with lovely Spring blooms such as Tulips or Daffodils. If you love the thought of a garden or rustic wedding theme, why not use dried moss as a table runner? You can work in flowers or tea lights. Little bowls full of mini eggs or other chocolate treats will not only add to your table décor, they can double up as delicious wedding favours for your guests. Tie in your pastel colour scheme by opting for lots of bowls in different pastel shades. Eggs also work brilliantly as place settings for an Easter wedding!

Have you ever considered creating an Easter tree? They make for unique wedding table centrepieces, and they can also work as an alternative to a traditional guest book. Simply secure some small branches in a pretty jar or jug, and ask your guests to write a little message or some advice on an ornament. We suggest using egg-shaped, rabbit or Easter ornaments. They can then hang it to the tree. This idea will also give your guests something to do during your wedding breakfast and it can be a handy ice-breaker too.

Struggling of ways to keep the children at your wedding entertained? Well you’ll be glad to know, an Easter wedding is one of the easiest ways to keep the kids happy. Simply create an Easter egg hunt for the smaller guests! This is a fab way to make use of the outside space at your wedding venue, but it’s useful to have a plan B as you can never trust the English weather. An activity book bursting with fun games, puzzles and pictures that relate to Easter will be a lovely gift for the younger guests, and they can fill them out during the wedding reception.

Easter really is a magical time to say ‘I Do’, and you just know it’s going to be great fun…
