Luxurious Pearl & Gold Wedding Inspiration

August 19, 2017

Now I know we all have a soft spot for rose gold at the moment but when it comes to out-and-out glamour, you just can’t beat pure gold. Gold is luxurious, elegant and truly timeless so it’s always a great choice for weddings. However, when you pair gold with classic pearls, you’ve got a great basis for a stunning wedding theme. Here are some of the most glamorous pearl and gold wedding ideas around…

As always I’m going to start with a word about colour palettes. I adore pearl and gold on their own but when they’re combined with an elegant, feminine pink, you’ll have such a dreamy wedding colour scheme. You’ve also got a bit more flexibility here too because you can vary the amounts of the different colours to get the exact look that you want. So, step this way to a golden, gorgeous wedding.

Your gold & pearl wedding look

As a bride, you’ll LOVE the gold and pearl look. Pearl tones are so flattering to the skin and pearl and gold can work well with so many different styles of dress not to mention fabrics. Right now, I can’t get enough of gowns that feature lots of lace and these gowns, teamed with delicate, delightful shoes are just perfection. Pearl hairpins or a pearl headband are refined choices or make a statement with the Golden Elegance hair band from Glitzy Secrets. Finish your ensemble with the super pretty Golden Beau earrings and you’ll be the most glamorous bride around!

Let bridesmaids take their pick from gowns in pink, gold or creamy pearl tones for a relaxed yet refined look. The Bridesmaids Collection from Glitzy Secrets is definitely the place to look for accessories for your best girls.

Decorations for your gold & pearl wedding

Styling your gold and pearl wedding is just going to be so much fun – you can absolutely give in and totally indulge your love of glamour! Firstly, let’s talk about flowers and romantic varieties are the ones to choose. Roses, peonies or any big, billowy blooms will suit this look perfectly. Opt for soft pinks and neutral pearl tones and maybe bring in a touch of foliage for contrast. Candles are another must-have because there’s nothing more romantic or decadent than dining by candlelight! Pillar candles on golden holders surrounded by soft flowers look amazing.

I’d also invest in making your wedding tables and chairs look as fabulous as possible. After all, guests spend a lot of time seated so it’s a great idea to make an impact here. I adore exquisite table linens and when you can hire these in, they’re a relatively cost effective addition to your day. Golden-rimmed glassware or charger plates instantly lift your tables to another level too and charger plates with golden beaded edges are just a dream.

When it comes to the details, the world really is your oyster, quite literally! Oyster shells make great place cards or escort cards (with names written in gold for added luxury) and gold leaf scattered on mini cakes or brushed across your wedding stationery is another indulgent touch. Create an impact and use golden frames for your table plan, wedding signage or family photo displays and don’t forget to stock up on lots of stunning silk ribbons. Use these as finishing touches right across your wedding from bouquets and buttonholes to sashes, garlands and glorious backdrops.
