Pale Hues For A Modern Autumn Wedding

September 20, 2017

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons; the auburn leaves crunching under my feet, the crisp air and of course, the divine colour palettes. Usually, when I think of Autumn I tend to think of rich hues of burnt orange, cranberry red and warm brown. However, we’re giving the traditional Autumn colour palette a modern twist. Today we’ll be spoiling you with romantic pale Autumn wedding inspiration, so if you want something a little different for your special day we suggest you grab a cosy cup of coffee and get reading…

A pale Autumn wedding colour scheme should be soft, romantic and utterly beautiful. It can often take inspiration from a fine art wedding. When it comes to your aisle style, we recommend opting for something that’s undeniably feminine with lots of flowing silks and layers upon layer of rich tulle. A subtly-coloured gown is a wonderful choice, particularly in hues of blue, grey and even pale peach. Team with subtle pastel bridesmaid earrings and pendants and a long, dramatic veil that is carried in the wind is an absolute must-have – just think of those stunning wedding photographs in an outdoor setting.

A wild, foraged-style bridal bouquet brimming with lots of foliage, such as Eucalyptus and pale blooms will look oh-so-striking. If you have gone for a traditional white wedding dress but would love to add a subtle touch of colour, consider tying a long, silk ribbon around the stems of the bouquet. You could match it to the gowns of your bridesmaids.

Speaking of your bridesmaids, opt for an array of pale and interesting dresses to suit each of your girls. From dusty blue, dove grey, pale lilac or warm peach, there are heaps of heavenly colours to choose from. As this theme is ultra-romantic, we recommend choosing maxi dresses that are effortlessly stylish.

Set the scene for your special day with pale Autumn wedding stationery. Calligraphy will add to the elegance and romance of this wedding theme. We adore the thought of crisp white card with lightly frayed edges and embossed calligraphy, tied with a silk ribbon for an extra special touch. The array of unique textures is perfect for an Autumn wedding, don’t you think?

When it comes to your wedding breakfast, decorate your tables with soft linen table runners in a pale grey or French blue shade. Goblets with a subtle peach hue will look stunning against the contrast of a grey or blue table runner too. A brushed bronze vase bursting with foliage and flowers will make the most magnificent centrepiece too. This metallic is made for an Autumn wedding and it will help to give your big day a modern edge.

A pale wedding theme is the perfect alternative to a traditional Autumn colour palette, and it lends itself to so many beautiful ideas.
