Now this feature includes a great number of my favourite things. We’ve got pretty pastel tones, glints of silver and, of course, the most perfect jewellery for that glittering finishing touch. So, without further ado, let’s indulge ourselves with some pink, lilac and silver wedding inspiration…
The first thing to say about this theme is that the colour palette is beautifully adaptable. Depending on your own wedding style and that of your venue, you can make more of one tone or another or add extra flashes of silver during your evening reception. It’s also a palette that can work at any time of year so for good-looking flexibility, you need look no further!

Let’s start with your bridal ensemble and as I’m a fan of subtly coloured gowns, I just have to include a wedding dress in pale hues. You could add a sparkling belt, designer shoes and, of course, some statement jewels that will make sure your look is grown up rather than too girlie. Soft shades in your bouquet will add a truly romantic touch to your look and peonies, hydrangeas, roses and English summer flowers would be a wonderful choice.
Bridesmaids also have oodles of options. If you follow the ‘mix and match’ trend and let your maids wear different coloured gowns, you’ll add more than a dash of pastel personality to your day. A skinny silver belt and silver sandals would be great in summer or a silver cardigan in winter would be warming and stylish. Your bridesmaids will love you that little bit more if you treat them to accessories from the brand new Bridesmaids Collection from Glitzy Secrets. Misty Rose earrings, a Haze of Amethyst pendant or one of the delicious headbands for your bridal party would be firm favourites.
You’ve also got plenty of choice when it comes to the styling of your tables. Of course, you could keep the look traditional with lightly coloured table lines, tablecentres with roses spilling from silver containers. Alternatively, go glam with sequined tablecloths and stylish flowers. Whatever option you prefer, I’d be sure to add lots of tea lights and candles in silvered holders for an extra dash of romance.

The wedding cake should also be another focal point. Again, sparkling silver table linen is a brilliant addition to your cake table and touches of colour on the cake itself would also be ideal. Depending on your wedding style, pastel watercolours, pink and lilac patterns or even silver glitter could all work fabulously – it quite literally depends on your taste!
There are some fantastic, and cost effective, decorative options too. Coloured tissue paper garlands make great backdrops and these are certainly something to consider making yourself. Oversized balloons, possibly with an added sprinkle of glitter or dab of silver paint, would look great around your dance floor or as props for photos.
I hope you’ll agree that this theme is just all kinds of lovely and, happily, you can really put your own personal stamp on this look. Make it elegant, make it modern, make it vintage, just make it yours.
